If you had the opportunity to pump out however many units you felt like, you might as well just be playing Starcraft. It's bad enough the game has been dummied down by making all territory points homogenous. There'd be no tactical combat, just a giant slugfest between the super-computers that are strong enough to handle rendering that many units on the screen at once. Base structures and units would last about 4 seconds under the focus fire of a 200 cap army. How many Tigers do you get to face when that spammer suddenly realizes he can put out as many as 8 Tigers all by himself now, instead of 3? The game statistical mechanics just plain can't handle that much. ![]() Giving some nitwit who only knows how to spam T-34s or Panthers 100 more popcap to do it with isn't the way to make battles larger. "Fun" is a highly subjective concept, and just because you want it, that doesn't mean you should have it. Of course the doctrines there actually meant something. The Eastern Front mod for CoH 1 was a prime example of fun with higher pop caps without sacrificing playability. Make it changable in custom games and not the automatch and everything is fine.
